The language that I love and speak comes from my background in science. It is a language that comes from a culture of no culture. One that tries to erase the individual and the mess.
I am trying to reveal the traces of the subjective individual and explore ideas of an objectivity that is subjective, an objectivity that is as sticky, simultaneous, and imperfect as the life it tries to contain.
My work exists at intersections where art, science, and everything in between meet uncomfortably, where vocabularies clash and create cognitive dissonance. Through experimental video, performances, and objects, I remix and jumble scientific and medical images, points of view, and preoccupations to talk about things we can’t talk about, discursive in-betweens, incomplete recursions, uncomfortable feelings, indulgent futile gestures, and muddy excess.
